The project activities include, among others: creation of a database on agronomic practices; creation of an IT tool for estimating the Carbon stock, credible and certifiable; validation of the system through field analysis; implementation of the system in 4 pilot vineyards of 3 agricultural companies (Castello di Albola, Ruffino 1877 and San Felice Wine Estates); Carbon Credits certification thanks to the support of Carbon Credits Consulting and placement on exchange platforms; monitoring of technical and economic results; transfer and replication of the system.
A complete digital platform will therefore protect and facilitate the correct management of agricultural practices and the calculation of carbon credits, based on an app that will integrate the most innovative algorithms based on international standards shared by the scientific community. It will be created by Image Line, an innovative SME that already involves an online community of 290,000 people (producers/farmers, agronomists/technicians, producer associations, but also the world of schools and research).
The app will be fully integrated with a blockchain platform, thanks to the support of EZ Lab France: the company, born from the many years of experience in web 3.0 technologies of the innovative SME EZ Lab Blockchain Solutions - will contribute in the future to validate the system also in the Champagne region where it is based.

Start Month: 1
End Month: 8
The purpose of this WP is to obtain a complete overview on vineyard management practices already implemented to maximise the SOC stocking capacity, for supporting the subsequent project implementation activities and provide vine growers with a technical manual on best management practices to increase SOC in their farms. The activity will provide a baseline and intervention scenarios delineation for the farms. To this end, in this WP, existing information on both farm management and the related pedoclimatic conditions which data refer to, capable of influencing the C sequestration potential, will be collected, organised, harmonised, and analysed to create a database and a technical manual.
